Since I have seen mshmet is used regularly in combination with MMG for 2D as well as 3D cases I was wondering where you procure the file mshmet1_3d.c (required for 3D cases) since the one found in the github repository is empty.

Dear Karl,
You can use the olderVersionThatWorks branch of the AdaptTools repository. It contains the old implementation of mshmet with workind 3D computations.
Note that the command line arguments may have different names in this branch than in the master one.
