Quadrilaterals in 2D?


I have done a grep and I found that the nquad appears in MMG2D library several times, but it is not supported in the API. There is any plan to support quadrilaterals in 2D?

The quadrangles are supported in 3D because we preserve the input prism boundary layers (which implies that it may be needed to preserve input quadrangles).

For now, the 2D equivalent (preservation of quadrangle boundary layers) is not yet implemented and it is not planned to add this feature in short-term.

I will keep you aware if we do something in this direction.
