Options for quality objective and/or optimize steps number

Hello,

I am using mmg3d, v 5.3.11 and wondering if I could fix an element quality objective or a maximum number of optimzation steps.
Actually, I am calling mmg3d with an isotropic metric several times during a finite element analysis. I use default values for most parameters and impose small hausd coefficient. For some calls I do not need the most accurate mesh and I would like to go faster.
Is one of these options available?

Hello Oana,

For now, we don’t have such options but during the last councils of the Mmg consortium it was decided to add the possibility to fix an element quality objective. I hope to be able to implement this before the end of the year.
